Honey Garlic Chicken

  • For the chicken

    800 g boneless skinless chicken breast - cut into cubes
  • 1½ tsp salt (≈9 g)
  • 1 tsp black pepper (≈2 g)
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (≈2 g)
  • 1½ tsp garlic powder (≈5 g)
  • 1½ tsp onion powder (≈3 g)
  • 1½ tsp paprika or smoked paprika (≈4 g)
  • 2 tsp olive oil (≈9 g)
  • For cooking and finishing

    30 g light butter - divided, plus more for finishing if needed
  • 2 tsp minced garlic (≈6 g)
  • 30 g honey - divided; 15 g per batch of chicken
  • To finish

    Fresh parsley - a handful, chopped

Instructions

  1. Toss the chicken with the olive oil and all the seasonings.
  2. Melt some of the butter in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken in a single layer, in two batches if needed.
  4. Cook 4-5 minutes undisturbed until browned, then turn and cook another 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Drop the heat to low so the garlic and honey don’t burn, then add the remaining butter, the garlic, and the honey (15 g per batch).
  6. Stir until the chicken is coated and the sauce is sticky. Finish with the parsley.
